Music fans and visitors are attending from all over the world from as far as Australia, Canada, USA, Turkey, Brazil .... its a fantastic tribute to the Late Rory Gallagher but it underlines Rory’s worldwide following 19 years after his untimely passing. Irish Rock 'n Blues Legend - Rory Gallagher conquered the world, an inspirational musician to many but unique to us all, Rory Gallagher's legacy is there for all to appreciate having started out with the showband "The Impact" before establishing "Taste" and gave us great recordings and performing moments such as Montreux and at the Isle of Wight, Rory was pure relentless and with the Rory Gallagher Band continued that dedication and hard work on a global scale. He produced more than a dozen albums, devoting his entire life to music and his fans, selling over 30 million albums worldwide with his marathon tours and live performances winning him great acclaim.
The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon was established in 2002, 7 years after Rory's untimely passing, and has become Ireland's leading Blues Rock Festival, honouring the life, music and legacy of the Late Rory Gallagher. Rory Gallagher won many accolades, not least the hearst of millions of music fans across the world. Ballyshannon, a small south Donegal town will come to a standstill, it has a normal population of 2,500 people but during the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival, the town's capacity bursts to its limits as in excess of 7,000 music lovers from over
25 separate countries converge on the town to remember Rory.
