The 14th Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival will take place in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, Ireland from Thursday 28th May to Sunday 31st May 2015 and is set to be another fantastic tribute to Rory Gallagher. The renowned international guitarist is celebrated annually in the town of his birth - Ballyshannon for 4 days, with Rory's devoted fans converging on the town from over 30 different countries in what is truly an international tribute to one of the world's greatest ever Rock 'n Blues performers. There are Open Air Street Gigs (Free to view), Rory's Statue Acoustic Gigs (Free to view), Blues & Guitar Sessions, the infamous gig at the Rock Hospital (where Rory was born), Fans Photo Exhibitions and the Nightly 'BIG TOP' Concerts featuring many of the headline acts (the only Ticket event) and Early Bird Tickets for the nightly Big Top Concerts will go on sale on Friday 12th September 2014.
2015 will be a special year for Rory's fans everywhere as it will mark the 20th Anniversary of the sad passing of Rory Gallagher. Several acts have been announced in recent days including Band of Friends (featuring Rory's band members - Gerry McAvoy & Ted McKenna with Marcel Scherpenzeel), Bernie Marsden & His Band (ex. Whitesnake), Sinnerboy (UK), Pat McManus & His Band (ex. Mama's Boy's), Johnny Gallagher & the Boxtie Band, Dave McHugh Band, MOONCHILD, Grainne Duffy & Her Band, Tony Dowler's Hellhound's (UK), Seamie O'Dowd & His Band, Laurence Jones Band (UK) and many more acts to be announced ..... watch this space !!!
