Belfast born Eric Bell is a world renowned guitarist and prior to founding “Thin Lizzy” he performed with Van Morrison’s band “Them” for a period in the 1960’s, before teaming up with Phil Lynott, Brian Downey and Eric Wixon in 1969 to form “Thin Lizzy”. As lead guitarist he played on Thin Lizzy's first three albums entitled “Thin Lizzy”, “Shades of a Blue Orphanage” and “Vagabonds of a Western World” as well as the bands hit single “Whiskey in the Jar”. Eric Bell co-wrote a number of songs with Lynott and Downey, including “The Rocker” which became a live favourite throughout the band's lifetime. After departing “Thin Lizzy” owing to the pressures of recording, touring and the excesses of the rock star lifestyle taking its toll, he was replaced by one Gary Moore. Eric Bell is renowned as one of Ireland’s finest Rock guitarists and is widely referred to as genius in Rock guitarist circles.

“Each year we strive to bring many renowned acts that have played with and have been influenced by Rory Gallagher. We are pleased that so many of Rory’s fans from across the world make the trip annually and it
certainly would make Rory proud. Weekend Early Bird Tickets for the nightly Big Top Concerts are on sale at just €40 for all 3 nights, its superb value and we are looking forward to finalising the programme in the coming weeks while announcing several more legendary acts” added Mr. O’Neill.
