We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who attended the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival 2019 in Ballyshannon, Ireland. It was an amazing 4 days of superb music, nostalgia and alot of fun. Rory Gallagher would be so proud of the event in his honour in his birth town of Ballyshannon but in particular Rory would be so proud of the fact that his loyal fans from 24 Countries worldwide attended in 2019. That is absolutely phenomenal tribute to the great man. We would like to thank all the musicians who performed throughout the Festival on stages throughout Ballyshannon from the Rock Hospital to Rory Gallagher Place to the Rory Gallagher Statue to the Gables to the many great pub venues to the Festival Big Top ... youse were great, sorry fantastic. To everybody you helped and assisted in any way, to the street cleaners, to the stewards to the office helpers and to all the local services. Finally we would like to thank our main sponsors Failte Ireland & Wild Atlantic Way, Donegal County Council & Donegal Tourism, Ballyshannon & Bundoran Business Community and Diageo Guinness Ireland - the Pint of black stuff left to the end !!! Look forward to meeting everybody again in 2020 for what promises to be a very special 25th commemoration of Rory's sad passing - Dates for the Festival are Thursday 28th May to Sunday 31st May 2020 in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way - The countdown is underway ... ohhh did we also mention that this will be our 18th Festival !!! Thank you so much for an amazing weekend,hubby and myself brought our 7 year old son to it and he loved it! We will definitely be there next year! Big thanks to Eoin Gallagher who kindly have my son some Rory badges!

It was so difficult in the lead up to my 6th festival In a row to actually make it. My ticket was entrusted to a brother in arms to use and a couple of concert tickets to Midnight Oil in Dublin on the 11th entrusted to another.Thanks to all the awesome bands brought a million miles away down under by an army of great Photo/Videoographers I felt I was there again.I am committing to 2020 here and now and look forward to it immensely. Thanks Barry O’Neill, Barry Sweeny, Joseph Cohen and so many others for the kind comments in relation to my absence.Rory On🎸👍🇦🇺🍻😎

I was there for the first time ever. Always wanted to go there and 2019 was the year. It was amazing and despite of the weatherconditions me and my wife Sandra had a very good time in Ballyshannon. Very good bands who played very well during the pouring raines. One of my own highlights was my performance with mister Barry Barnes at the Bridges End on sunday. We played A million miles away and Bullfrog blues, two of my most favourite numbers by Rory! Thank you for that Barry! And many thanks for everybody that was in Ballyshannon that helped us to that great experience!

This festival has to one of the best value ones out there. The quality and sheer quantity of music on offer is incredible from the big top full on rock acts to one man with a guitar in one of the bars. Second visit this year and not my last. Fingers crossed for a dryer one in future but that will always remain in the lap of the gods.
