Ballyshannon will open its doors to the world for the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival from 31st May to 3rd June 2018, tipping our collective caps to the guitar genius of the Late Great Rory Gallagher who was born at the Rock Hospital in the town 70 years ago.

An inspirational musician to many but unique to us all, Rory Gallagher's legacy is there for all to appreciate having started out with the showband 'The Impact' before establishing 'Taste' and gave us great recordings and performing moments such as Montreux and at the Isle of Wight, Rory was pure relentless and with the Rory Gallagher Band continued that dedication and hard work on a global scale. He produced more than a dozen albums, devoting his entire life to music and his fans, selling over 30 million albums worldwide with his marathon tours and live performances winning him great acclaim.

The voluntary organising committee of the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival 2018 in Ballyshannon extend a Special Invitation to Rory's Fans worldwide to join in the 16th Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival between Thursday 31st May and Sunday 3rd June 2018, that will feature Rory's former band members, Gerry McAvoy and Ted McKenna with "The Band of Friends" and legendary acts "Wishbone Ash" featuring guitarist Andy Powell, Wilko Johnson & His Band, American Blues Rock Legend - Walter Trout & His Band, Pat McManus (Mama's Boys), Thin Lizzy founder and drummer - Brian Downey & Allive & Dangerous, Eric Steckel Band (USA), Johnny Gallagher & Boxtie Band, Sinnerboy (UK), Seamie O'Dowd Band, Deuce, Laundromat (Holland), The Mississippi Sheiks, Peter Price, Tony Dowler's Hellhound's The Scratch, Sam Davidson's Taste, Aiden Pryor Band, In Your Town and many many more .......
