County Donegal Blues and Folk guitarist Muireann Bradley will perform on the opening night of the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival 2025 on Thursday 29th May 2025 at the Rory Gallagher Theatre in Ballyshannon for what promises to be a very special gig.

Muireann specialises in performing acoustic fingerpicking country, piedmont, and ragtime blues styles from the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s as well as later Folk, Country and Americana. The guitarist and singer has been influenced by the likes of Blind Blake, Rev Gary Davis, Memphis Minnie, Elizabeth Cotten, Mississippi John Hurt, Stefan Grossman, Ari Eisinger, John Fahey and Roy Bookbinder.

Muireann who is from Ballybofey in County Donegal rose to fame after performing on Jools’ Holland Annual Hootenanny on 31st December 2023. Following her appearance on the show, her album I Kept These Old Blues entered the top ten of the UK Albums Download Chart.

Muireann Bradley in October 2024 while performing at the Allingham Arts Festival in Ballyshannon had the honour of playing Rory Gallagher’s Kay K672 Swingmaster guitar that Barry O’Neill had purchased at the Bonham’s Auction. We look forward to welcoming Muireann back to Ballyshannon and this time to the Rory Gallagher Theatre.

Rory Gallagher International Festival presents Muireann Bradley on Thursday 29th May 2025 at the Rory Gallagher Theatre at The Abbey Arts Centre, Ballyshannon. Doors open at 7pm – Show starts at 7.30pm (sharp) - BOOK TICKETS NOW - Advanced Booking is advised !
