Guinness Ballyshannon Rhythm & Blues Weekend 2024 at the Home of Irish Blues Rock on 25th, 26th & 27th October 2024 promises to be another brilliant Blues experience in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Now in its third year the event boasts 25 Acts at 12 venues over 3 days with over 60 Free Gigs with a brilliant line-up of acts both established and new to Ballyshannon. The Ballyshannon Rhythm & Blues Weekend has non-stop venue based Blues gigs all-day every day for one great Irish Bank Holiday Weekend with Late Night Bar Extensions. There are also 2 headline ticketed shows with "THE GIG" on Saturday 26th October 2024 at the Rory Gallagher Theatre featuring "Crow Black Chicken", "Amos Moses" aka Ol Times, "The Shlacks" - Advanced Tickets HERE Then on Sunday 27th October 2024 its the "Lifetime in Music Achievement Award" show honouring and featuring "Pat McManus Band" with Special Guests - Advanced Tickets HERE
We are delighted to welcome so many great acts including "FRANK" from France, "Tom Davies & The Bluesbirds" (UK), "Mr. Castle Blues", the legendary "Seamie O'Dowd Blues Band", the unmissable "Gerry Quigley & The Mystic Blues Band". We are always pleased to bring new talent to the table and with that are delighted to introduce to Irish shores for the very first time, a young act that will get you good "Jack Austim Despy & His Band" (UK). Then there are the Irish Blues guys that put the B in Blues !!! Dave McHugh, The Stonecold Hobos Band, Lonsome Pete, Mark Black and Aiden Pryor ... Then there are the acts that want to pack power blues into your weekend "Heavy Duty", "Juke Joint Blues", the fantastic "Banshee" from Belfast, "Happy Inc Blues" and another great young Blues Rock act in "Buzzed".
Local Favourites "Bangin' Yolks" will set you free !!! "Ravin' Lunatics" will have you bopping, "Ciaran Hodgins & His Band" will keep it Rory and these County Armagh lads will be raving football stories but also the blues with "Tony Villiers & The Villains".
